After work yesterday, I decided to do the Core Fusion Pure Abs & Arms dvd. It's definitely not getting any easier! I'm still loving it though. I know I'm getting a great workout if it's still challenging me. This morning it was beautiful outside so I took advantage of the weather and took a 30 minute power walk around my neighborhood. I wanted to do some yoga after, but didn't have enough time. I'll probably do it after work though. I need to relieve some anxiety and yoga never fails to help me with that. Yoga For Runners from yogadownload.com is my favorite yoga practice right now. Anyway, after my morning walk, I ate my breakfast with the sun shining through my windows.
Since it's not Friday...it's Three Things Thursday!! Here's what's driving me to drink this week:
1. Fabric Shower Curtains. I don't have one in my shower, but I hate these things with a passion. They're mainly found in crappy hotels (a.k.a the hotels in Melissa's budget). It takes forever to take a shower with one of these things as your curtain. They blow into the tub while your showering, sticking to your legs and bringing in the cold air. I spend more time fighting off the fabric curtain than I do showering. I hate these things. I think I'm going to bring an extra shower curtain to Nashville with me just in case.
2. My Teeth! They still hurt. They're getting better, but it's taking forever and it's driving me nuts. I still have to eat squishy foods or else my cheeks get all puffy and I look like a chipmunk. Sometimes I just say screw it and eat whatever I want and deal with the pain later. It's worth it because I need my eats! Seriously though, the healing time needs to speed up. I'm scared that when I weigh myself for my strength training challenge, I'll have lost more weight because of my darn teeth. I'll cry if that happens. Actually, I know it has and I'm not looking forward to the weigh in. Maybe I'll just skip it this time and save the box of tissues.
3. Intrinsically Mean People. I know everyone has their moments (myself included) where they aren't the best person they could be and say or do things that aren't nice. However, there are people that live their lives angry at the world, put down their friends and family in order to feel better about themselves, are always complaining, are never wrong, and no one can ever live up to their standards. I try to give people like this the benefit of the doubt, but the truth of the matter is that it's not okay to walk around putting people down and making them feel like crap because of your own insecurity and issues. I don't need people around me who are rooting against me and make me feel like I'm worthless. The people you surround yourself with make you who you are. Being around negative, mean people only makes you negative. I can do bad all by myself (Tyler Perry taught me that!).
What's bugging you my friends?

I wish I had something...but I am coming up empty! Nothing is bugging me at the moment!!
I have some family on my hubby's side that are just soo mean and angry. We have decided to not be around them because they just bring us down.
having the skin rubber raw where my sports bra meets right after my chest is killing me today!
I try to stay away from those mean people. it's just not fun
ohhhhh I have three! 1) people who constantly lie! I am so sick and tired of someone is my life who is always lying...and now I have to read her lies on twitter...b*tch I know you're lying! 2) people who make you feel bad if you can't hang out. Don't call me last minute and expect me to hangout...I HAVE a life and don't sit around waiting for your phone call! Get ovet it! 3) my mom's guilt trips...that is all I have to say about that one lol
Dude your teeth still hurt?? What up with that? Is it as bad as before? Are you taking anything for it? Sheesh!
I have a big gripe for today...I have 2 new pet peeves that have been really killing me this week. One is when people say to me "oh that's the most I've ever heard you say!" or "oh Julie's so quiet!". A woman I work with said this to me yesterday morning. It really irked me because this broad HAS heard me speak many a times, even conversing with me. Yet yesterday morning when I said something to another co-worker she exclaims "that's the most I've ever heard her talk!". Fcuk. You. I really hate it because if anyone knew me at all, they would know that I can be quite chatty.
The other one is when people say "oh my god, you look like your 16!" or "oh my god, your only 28?!"(I'm not 28 yet technically, but I've already started saying it). Like, what is 28 supposed to look like exactly? Should I have more wrinkles and grey hairs? Should I be married? Should I be wearing twin sets and goucho pants to work? Also, 16 years olds these days do not look like what I look like. They are all 6 feet tall with double d's thanks to the hormones in milk. Not to mention the fact that they all look like Alice Cooper with all the eye make up they use. Just because I'm short and am blessed with a young face that will hopefully last me to old age does not mean I'm a young'un. It really chaps my ass.
Ugh seriously sorry about the teeth.
People who talk too loud. I was in JP licks yesterday trying to eat my fro-yo in peace and one girl was talking SO loud that I couldn't think straight. She was talking about tattoos and inappropriate sex acts none the less. With tons of children around! Soooo annoying.
I'm actually not bugged by anything this week! Most of what bothers me I've just kinda shrugged off and deemed to be the way things are gonna be (since they never change and I can't change them myself).
I'm glad you're getting outside and enjoying the nice weather! I've been trying to do the same. I'm loving this week.
I guess there aren't really "appropriate" sex acts to discuss around children but you get my point hahaha
I really love Three Things Thursday!
My complaint is more of a story. I went out to eat with Jared's coworkers Tuesday night and this guy Bill introduced himself. I reminded him that we'd met before and he said, "oh yeah, probably once or twice." My response, "Umm yeah at the Christmas party, the boat cruise, the bar, Mark's party..." etc. etc.
It annoys me when someone you've clearly met on multiple occasions acts like you're a stranger. Gahhh!
The people who threw up on the sidewalk on St. Patricks Day. Walking to the bus I just kept passing piles of the stuff! Gross!
Hey Melissa! Sorry its not Friday yet - so close.
The floods are really chapping my a@@ this Thursday. To get to work, I have to go much further north than necessary and then drive on 1A for the majority of my trip. It takes forever! AND because the parking lot at work is filled with about a foot of water, we're all stuck in the parking garage which is really more like a building of death because of the extremely narrow passage ways, standing water, and what seem to be ever-moving exits (I can never find them!). Also, at the end of the day, I can be found constantly hitting my key fab thing to make my car beep so that I can actually find it in there. Not a good scene!
What a bummer! I'm so sorry to hear your teeth are still bothering you.
Here's whats boiling my blood this lovely Thursday:
People, who even though they are not your superior in the workplace, they are not more qualified or better (and not even OLDER), think that they can walk all over you and tell you what to do when you're supposed to be a TEAM. It's not a one person show here people and you call on the shots...grr
I hate cloth shower curtains - or the really lightweight plastic ones - they do the same thing!
I can't believe your teeth still hurt - maybe you should go to another dentist and get a second opinion?!?
Hmm everything at work is bugging me this week! I was doing work for the New Business department since this girl quit. A guy got hired and he emails me every day still to do his work for him. He is the one probably making 50,000 more a year than me!!
hahah i love the first one. touche!
i want to cry becuase I wrote someting really long and insightful and there was a service error and it all went bye bye.
i cant stir up that kind of emotion but a general idea:
-shower curtains are obsessed with me because im dead sexy
- i hate that your teeth still hurt and want you to feel better!
-and i hate when people are mean... especially when they are mean to their kids. saying shut the fuck up to a 5 year old is abusive!
of course the shorter less passionate version goes thru! Grrr
Thanks for giving us the tip on the yoga workout. Im always interested in yoga, but there are so many options I never know where to start.
Hmm, what's pissin me off today...
honestly, I got nothin. Annoying huh?
mmm your oatmeal looks extra yummy this morning! maybe it was the extra sweet pumpkin :)
whats peevin me? FACEBOOK STATUS's...I get it that you think that people care enough to see what your doing, but I really don't care that you are "in the shower <3" I mean really, thats just not necessary!
why are you going to nashville! thats fun!
A kid in my class used nail glue to glue her eye shut today. We had to take the ambulance to the ER to unglue the eye. Everyone survived, but it was not my best Thursday! I don't need that much excitement in my life, thank you!
I HATE it when people block entry ways aka doorways or entrances into a public place. It's like move people!!!!!! I know that sounds so rude but it pisses me off when people are standing infront of the revolving door to my office building and don't even think to move out of the way for people to get in or out. Then you have to be all polite and say "excuse me...sorry!" when in reality I want to say "excuse me but you need to move, don't you see that your blocking the ENTIRE doorway and people can't get in or out" UGHHHHHHHH it's so rude! Get it together people and stop being so damn selfish standing infront of a busy entry way!
sorry about your teeth!
hmm. what i'm hating right this week?
how i totally embarrassed myself in CFLA today/friday
how my sister can eat anything she wants and still look good without exercising at ALL.
(i don;t have that leeway)
microbiology.
uSC students. they're way too cocky.
people that yell at you when you're chanign the tv and you didn't know that they were watching it in the gym (wtf guy on stairmill. if you missa bit of espn it's NOT GOING TO KILL YOU)
