I followed this workout with five minutes of slow walking on the treadmill to cooldown. I have a date with my weights in my living room after work for some strength training.
Once home, I refueled with some oatmeal. I was feeling something different though! No pumpkin oats today my friends!
1/2 cup oats, 1/3 cup cottage cheese, cinnamon, strawberries, white chocolate chips, and a glob of Naturally More PB for dipping. I don't like mixing my peanut butter with oats. I prefer a small taste here and there. I admit to being a double dipper though! It was nice to have such a fresh and fruity breakfast.
Okay, now what you've all been waiting for...Three Things Thursday. This is where I complain about three things that are driving me nuts this week. You get your turn in the comments! Here we go:
1. We're Full! I hate when you're waiting for the T in Boston and when the subway car finally arrives and the doors open, someone inside will yell out, "We're full! We're full!" I can see that it's full you jerk. When this happens, no one even tries to get on the train, but it never fails that five people scream out, "We're full! We're full!" and one of them will be all trying to shut the subway car doors himself. Calm down people. Green line riders I'm looking at you!
2. I'm Sorry You Feel That Way... People who say this are assholes. If you did something that upsets someone, but don't feel you did anything wrong, then say that! Don't be a dismissive jerk handing out fake apologies. It's not even an apology and it's very insulting because you're actually blaming the person you're supposedly apologizing to. A true apology accepts blame and is sincere. If you really don't think you did something wrong, you should still apologize. You might not apologize for what the person is upset for, but you should at least say, "I'm sorry I upset you," "I'm sorry I made you mad," etc...because you did do something to make that person upset. If you take the time to sort things out and accept responsibility for your actions, people will respect you.
3. Online Radio Stations. I loved them at first, but now they just piss me off. The whole purpose is to only hear music you like right? Well, why if I tell it the artists that I like, it never plays them. It plays artists it "thinks I'll enjoy." If I select Mason Jennings, Kate Bush, Iron & Wine, and Prince, I don't want to hear John Mayer, Jessica Simpson, Owl City, and Soulja Boy. That is my worst nightmare of a radio station. I just want to hear music I like, don't pretend you know me you stupid online radio station!
What's bothering you?

What bother's me the most are super slow drivers!!! I'm not a speed racer by any means... but people should NOT be driving 20 miles per hour under the speed limit.
I hate when you are trying to get on the T and people REFUSE to move in. This morning there was plenty of room, but some people just love standing near the door for some reason. I don't get it!
Soulja Boy is not music... its noise. LOL
I know what packed trains are like... but in NYC they get on whether there is room or not. its sad. And i think the trains coem more often in NYC than they do in Boston.
Look at u kickin ass at the gym! Im so proud of you!
yeah packed trains are the worst...what bothered me yesterday is that I drove into my parking lot which is on a 1 way street but I always come fromt eh other way, because thats the only way I can drive home from work, and two girls were motioning crazily to me and mouthing" ITS A ONE DAY ST!!!" umm yes I know that, but I have to go park my car. Then they saw me pull into the lot and turned around. I mean I knwo how to drive, c'mon...mind your buisness!!
your oats look great as does your elliptical workout!!
one WAY...not one "DAY" sorry about that haha
When Jared and I first started dating, I would take the Green line from Brighton to Back Bay WITH THE DOG. It sucked. I not only dealt with rude people, but with an obnoxious corgi. Plus the T makes me nauseous!
Oh my god, I hate that owl city song. It makes me want to rip my ears off.
Yes that train thing drives me crazy too. People scream how full it is yet people still push themselves on. Then there are people cursing eachother out every morning. Fun stuff!
Mandatory training classes that don't pertain to my job and make me want to jump off of the roof. That's what's bugging me today. :)
I really dislike the T in general...but especially the slow ass Green Line. hehe.
I never thought about "I'm sorry you feel that way" in that light before. A-holes!
What is pissing me off this week? No time to myself! :(
hahaha LOVE what you said about "sorry you feel that way: . i dont like ppl feeling sorry for me!
Do you ever listen to Slacker Radio? I really like it.
I came to the right blog today because you are letting me VENT! What bothers me today is what bothers me usually everyday, the fact that the parents of my students don't take any time to check their students homework, which makes them think homework and reading are not important! ugh!
God bless a good rant.
green line blows.
I hate that school ends in June, but I already got my lay-off notice - along with 40% of the teachers in my building! What's that do for the morale?! Ah well - good thing the kids melt my heart everyday. Thanks for the forum to vent!
"don't pretend you know me you stupid online radio station!" OMG THIS MADE ME CRACK UP! and I totally agree with you
I am so glad I don't have to take the T daily. A packed train is better than not getting on at all, but what a lousy ride it is!
Oh I'm more than with you on the hate for "I'm sorry you feel that way..." It is probably one of the most frustrating things to hear from someone. It's such a dick move. It puts all the emphasis on your feelings being in the wrong.
And so true about the full T. Like, "Oh, really, you're full? Cuz I thought I'd just sit on your lap?"
Have a great Friday!
