Takin' It To The Streets

Good morning friends! I was like The Doobie Brothers this morning and took my run to the streets. I haven't run outside since November I think! It was a little tough because of the hills and the pavement is less shock absorbing than the treadmill, but once I found my groove, it went well. I was happy to be back outside again without other gym rats around me. I was free to let my freak flag fly during my run. Today that meant singing (yelling) at the top of my lungs "EVERYTHING YOU OWN IN THE BOX TO DA LEFT!!", fist pumping the air while running backwards, and swinging around the stop sign at my turn around point like a stripper pole. The things I do at 5:30 in the morning...Anyway, the run was great and now it's snowing outside. Climate change is a mysterious thing.

I refueled with the usual pumpkin oats.

1/2 cup oats, 1/4 cup cottage cheese, 1/4 cup pumpkin, cinnamon, raisins, cacao chips.

I freaked out when I got to work because the internet was down. I have to turn in a take home test for my biology class before noon and, more importantly, I have internet surfing to do! I was like, "HARRIS!!! NOOOOO!!!" Hello to the two people who get that joke. No one had done anything about it so I took matters into my own hands and went stealth like Catherine Zeta-Jones in Entrapment climbing under boxes and over pipes in my work's basement to unplug and plug back in our internet connection. We're not supposed to fiddle with it, but I couldn't care less. I have sh*t to do! Everyone thinks it just came back on by some miracle. Was it really that hard to unplug it though? I don't know what they do when I'm not here. Enough with my rambling. Have a great day!

*Don't forget it's not to late to donate and enter my giveaway to win Jenni Schaefer's book, Life Without Ed! I'll pick a winner TODAY at noon and make the announcement in tonight's post. Please help support the Multiservice Eating Disorders Association.

Running outside already?! You are awesome girl. Not that I run at all, but that is great. I have seen some people running outside here, and have thought they were insane - but we still have about 2 feet of snow!

I'm dying to run outside again. But your right...it is snowing out there...again! Its still too cold for me. You're brave.

Glad you go the internet up and running. Good luck with the test. And thanks for the heads up about the gf Annie's. I've tried a couple of the products. Really good! But of course, more pricey :(

Haha, you sound like the best running partner ever.

Great job in coming to the rescue at the office. I'm picturing you sitting up on their shoulders fists waving triumphantly. :)

I hate that we can't do things on our own here. Can't move furniture, can't touch the internet connection at our desks...good job fixing yours!

It's gonna warm up after this snow crap is gone...looks like you'll get some more outdoor runs in soon. :)

Sounds like you had fun running outside. I tend to sing out loud when running too - I'm sure people driving by laugh at me.

I'm sure everyone is thankful you fixed the internet - MacGyver style!

So nice you got a run in outside- Iove them- I love just being able to get outside and walk- this winter it hasn't snowed one bit- so it's been a luxury to say the least

I can't WAIT to run outside!!! Sigh...I probably have another month or so.

I love running outside. I can only handle 30 minutes on the treadmill and then I'm bored. Outdoor runs provide much more entertainment. Perhaps I'll see a runner pretending to be Beyonce one of these days?!?!

hhaah I can see you climbing on boxes for internet. I would do the same thing. I feel like I've lost an arm w/o it, sad but true.

You are so funny. I loved the fist pumping and swinging around the stop sign image. Are you a fast runner??? If not maybe we can run together.

I love running outside. The New England weather always makes it interesting and so do impromptu dance parties! Glad you started your day off right!
