Bad:
Spaghetti squash "pasta" with peas in cream of mushroom soup with mozzarella cheese. Roasted brussels on the side. The brussels were great, but the squash was gross. The soup just evaporated. I use the soup in regular pasta and rice all the time and it's delish. Maybe the squash doesn't have enough carbs in it to absorb the soup. Who knows? Who cares. It's gross. Don't make it.
Sour Chobani. The expiration date was good, but the yogurt was foul. I threw it in the recycling.
Win some, you lose some.
Good:
Pumpkin oats per the usual.
Pizza! I'm not a huge, huge, pizza fan but sometimes it just hits the spot.
BBQ chicken and mac & cheese. My favorite!
Those are just a few random meals.
I kicked off Monday with a 45 minute run on the treadmill. I followed the run with a new stretching routine. You may remember this post where I briefly talked about the importance of stretching before and after exercise. I hope it inspired you to incorporate stretching into your workout routine if it wasn't there already. Over the weekend, I found a great stretching routine on the Runner's World website. The routine incorporates basic yoga stretches for injury prevention. I normally stretch every morning while my coffee is brewing and then again after my workout. I've been doing the same stretches for years now. It was fun to mix it up today! I hope you find this article as useful as I did. Stretching is SO important. Not only does it prevent injury and improve range of motion (among other things), but it feels amazing. Don't blow off your stretching! I hope you have a good Monday!

Hmmm...that squash LOOKS good at least ;-) I need to work on being better about stretching...I usually just throw in a few half-hearted toe touches at the end of my workout. :-)
Have a great day!
I try to stretch after every workout, but it is easily one of those things I blow off because of lack of time! I found that doing yoga helps me stretch a bit more than I do on my own, but occasionally I'll do a few of my old dance stretches!
I admire your dedication to stretching. I need to be better about it!
Try Laughing Cow in the spaghetti squash....Delish!
I love your idea of stretching while your coffee is brewing. I need to have a morning routine like that. I always stretch when I brush my teeth at night, but maybe I should put it in my morning teeth brushing too haha. You are so right about how important it is
Thanks for the article - it does look like a great stretching routine. In addition to my regular yoga, I've really been focusing on adding warm ups and cool downs to my cardio. Definitely makes a difference!
Hope you have a great Monday!
try the speghetti squash with just good ole tomato sauce and LC wedge!! it is so good and simple and very hard to screw up! I am not a fan of cream of mushroom soup, so I can imgaine it didn't taste amazing
the pizza on the other hand looks awesmoe!!!
I'm trying ot be better about stretching, I find it really does help with running. Doing yoga regularly has really helped me as well!
Hmm the pizza looks really good :)
I'd like to find a stretching routine I can do before getting out of bed. I feel like it would be a great way to start the day while slowwwwly waking my body up. :)
I never heard of someone not really being into Pizza...that's a first lol
Chickie you should check out Namaste Yoga for distance runners on fit tv =)
MMM your pizza looks great. I wish I didn't love it as much as I do! Thanks for the stretching reminder. I am good doing it in a class but on my own I can be lazy.
The BBQ chicken/Mac n' Cheese looks killer
AGREED-i dont really crave pizza but sometimes it really does hit the spot! its soo good w. soda too..muahaha..that bbq chicken looks so good!
I'm all about the stretching before and after working out. I hate to see people walk right in the gym and hop on a treadmill w/o stretching. How can they do it? I need to loosen up before I do anything.
I am so bad at stretching!!! UGH...need to be better for sure! Thanks for the reminder!!
i am learning about the importance of stretching in my relaxation class right now. sorry about the not so hot eats haha but the pizza looks fab! i agree- sometimes it hits the spot

Thanks for the reminder that I really must stretch. I can't beleive the yogurt was bad but the date was good. I guess it happens sometimes. The pizza looked good. I love pizza, probably too much.

I love spaghetti squash - my favorite topping is cheese and peas..
