Core Fusion Pilates Plus - Day 5 Of The Challenge

Welcome to the midweek! We're getting through it. This morning was my 5th workout of the Core Fusion Challenge. I mixed it up by Netflixing Core Fusion Pilates Plus. The workout is the same setup, 5 ten minute workouts focusing on a specific body part followed with stretching. This was tough!! I liked it because it wasn't your standard pilates routine. The focus was more on toning and sculpting than lengthening. I was surprised with how tough it was. Exercises that looked like they'd be very easy, like just opening and closing your legs with your toes pointed, were very tough. One thing I didn't like about it was that I didn't feel the modifications were very, well, modified. The modified version was still very difficult and most of the exercises put a lot of strain on my neck. I had to keep modifying even further in order to even be able to do most of the exercises. It may have just been my bad back and chronic pain issues, so I'm not blaming it all on the dvd. I just think there could've been a more modified version for those of us with neck issues. I'm a little worried that I'm going to be in a lot of pain later. Like I said though, those are issues specific to me, not to the workout itself. I'm going to do it a few more times in order to mix it up with the other Core Fusion dvd that I have. If I find it puts too much strain on my neck, I'll just stick with the Core Fusion Body Sculpt. I give this dvd 4 out of 5 Jersey Shore Fist Pumps! I plan on either going for a 20 minute walk later or doing the elliptical for 20 minutes. I'll see how I feel after work and decide then. Maybe a little mall walking with a stop in H&M? heehee!

After Core Fusion, I dug into old faithfull...

1/2 cup oats, 1/4 cup fat free cottage cheese, 1/4 cup pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, raisins, and a few chopped cacao chips. I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but I keep the cacao chips separate from the raisins. I don't like to mix them together. I eat the raisin part first, then the oats without anything, and save all the cacao chips with some oats for my last bites. Is that weird?

Here's my song obsession of the week. And that dapper Craig Ferguson as well!

I need a shopping trip to H&M. I forsee it in my future.

I don't really care for pilates all that much. I love the core work but i don't like being on my ass bone as much as the positions require you to be.

I love pilates ! Glad you are enjoying it too :)

I'm not really down with pilates. I have zero balance so I suck at it.

I have weird eating habits too. I have to eat the smaller side of a sandwich first, and I have to start with the left side of the sandwich. If the smaller part is on the right, I switch them around. So not crazy.

hahah 4 out of jersey shore fist pumps. that made me laugh! i cannot wait for thursday night!

and NO not at all wierd for keeping teh raisins and chips seperate! I like to keep my PB separate from my oats and do some dippage, not the typical PB drizzle on the oats, I do occasionally but not really my thing!

glad you are enjoying the pilates

Weird? yes. Might I do the same? absolutely.
I feel like I have too many different exercises on my plate right now, but I will definitely keep this core fusion in mind for the future - sounds tough.

I would love to try Core Fusion. I have it on my queue for Netflix. I cannot wait to get it in the mail.

I've never done pilates.

You're oatmeal habits are a little weird. But not so weird that they're offensive. Haha.

I love the way you eat your oatmeal. I would do the same thing.

I always ate around the marshmallow in Lucky Charms. I would end up with a bowl of them and savor every one. MMMMM
