Core Fusion Day 4

Hi everyone. Thanks for your comments on my previous post about V Magazine. I think we can all agree that there needs to be more size acceptance in the media. I think if there were, it could only help women (young and old) with their self-esteem and body image issues. Shelley made a great point that even when magazines do feature women of all sizes, it's made an issue out of and there's always some sort of speculation. That definitely needs to stop. Maybe more magazines would follow suit if it was accepted rather than made an issue out of. Great discussion!

I started today's workout off at the gym. I warmed up walking on the treadmill for 5 minutes, then moved on to the elliptical. I did 20 minutes of intervals on the elliptical trainer, raising the incline at each two minute mark and starting back at the beginning again. After 20 minutes, I walked on the treadmill for 5 minutes to cooldown. When I got home, I threw in a load of laundry and did my 4th session of the Core Fusion challenge with my dvd. I fared a little better than last time on the legs portion. I can already see a difference in how long I can hold poses and how deep I can stretch. The arms portion was the segment that gave me the most trouble this time around. I had to put down the weights more times than I'd like to admit and complete the exercises with no weight. At least I didn't give up though, I kept right on going! Core Fusion might seem like a simple workout and not like a strength training routine, but I'm more sore after Core Fusion than I ever was just straight up lifting. I'm beginning to see and feel the results as well. I physical feel longer, stronger, and my muscles look more streamlined where they once looked a bit bulky. I'm amazed to see results so soon. I can only imagine what I'll look like at the end of Dori's challenge. I plan on doing Core Fusion again on Wednesday, but I'm going to do it after work instead of in the morning because it leaves me so sore hahaha! I'll need to lay down after.

After my workout, I went to my school to pick up a disc I need to start my online class tomorrow. Yay! I'm very excited, but also nervous. It's just an online class though and I'll be able to go at my own pace, so that puts me at ease. Dinner tonight was another craving feeder. Last night it was sweet potatoes, tonight....pasta!

1 cup cooked whole wheat pasta mixed with fat free cheddar cheese. I cut up a Boca burger and mixed it with bbq sauce and had brussels sprouts for my veggies making a complete bbq dinner. Hit the spot like whoa.

I know some of you probably have the Sunday Night Blues about going back to work tomorrow, so let me cheer you up.

Your welcome. Have a great night!

I really want to try this Core Fusion dvd. I just started a lifting class twice a week, so maybe I could do it in addition to that? Do you think I would see any results if I only did it once or twice a week?

GREAT workout! I can't believe you see results already that is amazing! My abs seem tighter to me already too. That DVD is killer, I did it yesterday and it got to me just as much as a class does. They are coming out with new DVDs soon that are like a live class!!

@Kelly: I think you would definitely see results. Give it a try! You can Netflix it if you want to try it out before you buy it. I'll warn you though, I'm very sore right now and I did Core Fusion at 9am! I truly believe it's a better workout than just lifting weights alone. Let me know if you try it :)

Great job keeping up with your workout dvd! I find it fun to see how much better I get at certain moves over time.

Great dinner! The only thing I would change is the fat free cheese. I despise fat free cheese! Nothing compares to the real stuff.

Have a lovely evening!

Great job on the workout - it always feels good to be a little sore after. :)

Your dinner looks awesome - I definitely don't have veggie bbq meals often enough.

Have a great Monday!

Can you do Core Fusion on Netflix through the computer or do you need to add the DVDs to your queue? Your soreness and fast results remind me of the OLD Firm workouts on VHS. I've been looking for something I could do at home and see those types of results.

So I think I need to give Core Fusion a try!

Okay, so I have really wanted to try brussel sprouts, but am scared of their bad reputation. Can you please share a step by step of how to select good ones at the store and cook them for best results?
