Soupa Sexy Friday

Happy Friday everyone! I'm excited for the weekend. It's been a loooong week. I definitely wasn't in the mood to workout this morning, but when I checked the weather and saw that it was 50 degrees out, I knew I had to take advantage of it. It's supposed to rain most of the weekend, so I knew I had to suck it up and get out in the nice weather. What else do I have to do at 4:30 AM anyway? I ran 5 miles in 50 minutes. The slower time is because I took a few walk breaks. My legs were on fire towards the end. I'm glad I got out there though. My motto to working out is, "Just Do It And It's Done." My workout is done :)

After showering, I made myself this sexy bowl of oats.

This passion in a bowl is 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese, banana slices, strawberry slices, and 8 chopped Ghiradelli 60% Cacao Chips. I whipped the banana slices in with the oatmeal and cottage cheese making the oats nice and sweet. The chocolate and strawberries are quite romantic aren't they? I'll definitely be making this again soon.

Lunch today was inspired by my Campbell's Select Harvest Giveaway. I decided to give the Minestrone With Whole Grain Pasta a try.

One serving is only 80 calories, but I ate the whole can making my serving 160 calories. That's still a low calorie lunch (I don't know anyone that could eat just one serving), so I stole an apple from a bag of fruit in my work's kitchen. As with most soups I eat, I poured out a lot of the broth. I'm not a broth person and prefer my soup to be more of a stew. I enjoyed this soup. I liked that there were big chunks of tomato and carrot. The pasta was plentiful as well. I was expecting there to be less because some other Campbell's soups I've tried have like a spoonful of rice or pasta in it. One thing I didn't like was that it left an onion aftertaste in my mouth. I'm chewing gum, but it won't go away. Oh well, I'll just chug some mouth wash when I get home.

It's not too late to enter the Select Harvest Giveaway! You have until 5pm tonight. What are you waiting for? Go enter!! Don't forget, Melissa Nibbles is also on Twitter. Follow me!

Yeah, I usually end up eating the whole can too. 180 calories isn't bad at all. Onion taste that lingers on and on doesn't sound like fun. Pop a few more pieces of that gum in your mouth, and use some powerful Listerine!

I absolutely love Mr. Raisin face! such a cute idea!

That soup sounds delicious! The only reason I like the broth is because I soak it up with bread! Which isn't the healthiest so I should really start dumping part of the broth so I'm not tempted to soak it in bread but it's so good that way!

Your blog is super cute! I can't wait to read more!
