Rockin Runs And Recycling

Good morning! I hope everyone is having a fabulous day so far. I woke up this morning ready to run. I'm not sure why, but I just felt excited to get out there and run in the fresh air. The temperature was almost 50 with a nice breeze. I stretched, worked my abs and set out on my run. It went well, but I started to feel a bit sore about 2 miles in. I've noticed that I typically get tired and sore at that point, but if I push through it goes away. Strange...anyway, I finished 5 miles in 45 minutes. Rocked it. After showering, I prepared myself a bowl of Mr. Raisin Face:

Mr. Raisin Face consists of 1/2 cup oats, 1/4 cup fat free cottage cheese, 1/4 cup water, cinnamon, banana slices, raisins, and a glob of PB Loco Cookie Dough PB. He was tasty and didn't put up a fight when I ate his face off.

Do you recycle your empty jars of makeup, face wash, etc..? Most community recyclers only take items made from materials that are easily recognized - such as soda and water bottles. If you're looking for a place to bring your empty cosmetics containers, Origins accepts packaging from any cosmetic company. They'll even give you a free sample! If you're a Bostonian, drop your packaging off at the Harvard Square location and then go to Grendel's Den for their portobello wrap (that's not a promotion, that's just something I like to do).

I just finished up my lunch. It didn't blow me away. It was good, but not really what I was in the mood for.

I made a whole wheat wrap with spinach & artichoke hummus, romaine, sprouts, pickles, and cucumber. Maybe some cheese would've helped? I'll keep that in mind for next time. Enjoy the rest of your day. My boss just left so I'm going to go to the salon across the street and get my eyebrows waxed. What is your favorite workday lunch?

I just threw out some old Bare Escentuals stuff. I should dig them out of my bathroom trash and recycle them. A sample is an added bonus, but I'd really just feel better doing something goof for the environment. And one of my goals is to be a better recycler!

I love the raisin face.

Thanks for your comments, I think my husbands new fave time of day is coming home from work since the house will smell like bread or something sweet. My new dragon friend is kindly guarding my desk, since dragons are my fave I love him, but his eyes won't stop following me!
