Like My New Look?!

Hi everyone. I hope you had a relaxing Sunday. You can see what I spent my day working on...a new layout! What do you think? I was unhappy with the old layout for quite some time and last night I was able to ask Melissa some technical questions over dinner. Thanks for your help Melissa, you made my Sunday project MUCH easier!

Before I buried my face in the computer for the day, I went up to the apartment gym for my workout. It was a strength training day with exercises for tri's, bi's, and back. I did my usual pyramid sets of seated rows, hammer curls, lat pulldowns, and tricep extensions. I followed it up with some ab work and then 2.5 miles on the treadmill. The entire workout took about an hour and I had the gym all to myself. Perfect.

My bowl of oats was just as perfect.

I combined 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup cottage cheese and a small spoonful of Crunch Time PB. For my toppings, I added 6 chopped Ghiradelli 60% Cacao Chips, strawberry slices, and a sprinkle of Kashi GoLean Crunch. I highly recommend this mixture. It was like Reese's in a bowl.

I spent the rest of the day doing laundry and relaxing. I have a busy week ahead of me at work with a major report due. Tomorrow night I have to take a test at the college I'll be taking classes at in January. I'm stressing out over this big time. I don't even know why. I think I'm just nervous about being in a classroom setting again. I wish the test was in the morning because I know it's all I'll think about all day at work. To relieve some stress, I spent some time in the kitchen making my favorite dinner.

Mac & cheese! I had leftovers from the other night to use up so it didn't actually take me very long to make. I heated up the pasta, threw in 1/4 cup dark red kidney beans and a handful of broccoli. It helped take my mind off the test...eating it was fun too :)

My partner in crime went to a friend's house to watch the Pats game tonight. I'm debating on whether I want to watch GH episodes from last week or Twilight. I got sick of people saying, "OMG YOU HAVE TO SEE TWILIGHT SPARKLY VAMPIRES!!" We put it on our Netflix list and it's been sitting on the dining room table for a week. Neither one of us really has any interest to watch it. I actually really like Kristen Stewart as an actress (I love her cool sense of style too). I'm afraid I won't like her after watching this ridiculousness. I know I'll make fun of the movie the entire time...maybe I'll wait until tomorrow so Christian and I can make fun of it together. Have you seen Twilight?

Okay, I need to make a tv watching decision here. Let me know what you like and don't like about the new layout and have a great night!

Your new design is awesome - looks like you put a lot of work in it!

I read the Twilight book just to see what all the fuss was about and I thought it was really good. Though I felt silly reading a young adult novel!

The movie is a little cheesy but enjoyable I guess. Not sure if I'll see New Moon cuz I haven't read that book.

Glad you were able to figure out the layout easily...and that I was able to help!

Love the layout! And I haven't seen Twilight yet, but I've read the books. Which is still semi-embarrassing..:)

@Melissa and @Erin: I've heard good things about the books. From people over the age of 30 so don't be embarassed!

I love a good mac and cheese, with added veggies! I am probably going to make some soon actually, as I've had some in my cabinet for a while that I need to get to.

I really love the new look of your blog Melissa. It looks great!

What is GH?
Love the cookie.

I am a huge Twilight fan. I've read all the books as have my parents (even my dad). The movie isn't fine art, but it's still enjoyable. At times, I was laughing at things that weren't meant to be funny. Similarly, the Twilight books aren't that well written. But the story is good - even if it's not fine literature or cinema it's a way to get lost in a different world for a few hours.
I'd try it...keeping an open mind to forgive some of the silly parts.
(And Kristen Stewart does a great job...as she does in all her movies).

Your new layout is awesome - I lurv it! :) I'm kind of a sucker for Twilight but I liked the book much more than the movie. It did feel a little corny. Whatever you decide on, I hope you have a great night!

Looks great!

I read the Twilight books last year. Since I worked with teenagers as a counselor, I need to know what all the hype was about. It was also a good jumping off point in counseling! I liked them and thought the movie was well done, but I'm not consumed by it!

Love your new layout!

I have not read the Twilight books yet (or seen the movie). I am getting sick of hearing about how I have to though so I'll probably give in and read it soon.
