I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this stuff. Put it in my oatmeal!
and just a little mid-stirring action for you
This was heavenly! It tasted like I mixed in a warm chocolate chip cookie straight out of the oven. This might be my favorite way to make oats now! I imagine the this is what Cookie Crisp cereal tastes like. My mother would never let me have it when I was a kid, so this bowl of oats will make up for that. P.B. Loco is all natural, gluten free, has 0 grams of trans fat, and is cholesterol free. Healthy stuff! You can check out their other flavor offerings and recipes on their website.
I had another great run today. I managed to stick to my planned 5 miles. I really wanted to go for 6 again, but didn't want to overdo it so early in the week. I'm trying to be smarter about my workouts. Instead of comparing myself to others and their daily mileage, I'm just focusing on being active, listening to my body, and reaching my own personal goals. Working out should be fun, not a contest right? I ran outside again this morning and am starting to get used to running in the cold weather. Actually, I quite enjoy it! I just wear leggings and a long sleeved shirt and I'm good to go. You might be saying, "Duh Melissa!" but this is the first year I've given up the treadmill for the great outdoors. This time last year I was in shorts and a tank top on the treadmill. I'm enjoying saving time and gas by not having to drive to the gym. Anyway, the run was great and it went by fast thanks to the new Grizzly Bear album I downloaded last night. If you haven't heard of them, they're similar to Fleet Foxes, Animal Collective, Broken Social Scene...check 'em out! What new music are you listening to?

Isn't that stuff great? I usually add a bit of salt when I eat it to pump up the sweetness. Which grocery store did you find it at? I got mine from Roche Bros.
Hey Melissa - I picked some of that up for Matt a few weeks ago and he LOVE it. I can only imagine how good it is.
Wow, that PB Loco looks great!
I love anything with cookie dough in it :)
Ok, that looks amazing. I haven't seen that product before (and probably won't while I am living on a tiny island!).
Hey! just ran across your blog and wanted to let you know that Cookie Crisp taste NOTHING like cookiedoughpeanutbutter! You definitely did NOT miss out on anything as a child haha. the peanutbutter is the way to go! its heavenly in my opinion
yum that sounds absolutely delish!! we don't have that at my grocery store :( boo! i may have to order some! great job on your run girl!
Ummmmm ok, I've never ever seen and/or heard of that PB but I've GOT to find it!! I'm gonna go with Whitney's idea ^^^^ and may have to order a jar for myself! Awesome job on the run... way to brave the cold weather. I'm too much of a baby to do it :( haha, gotta suck it up at some point though!
I am so jealous that you found PB Loco! It is a Wisconsin company so you'd think they'd sell it in more locations in this state but only one store sells it near meand they haven't had it stocked in awhile....enjoy!!!:)
I take it back....they're a Minnesota company- close enough:) There's a cafe in Wisconsin, though:)
Right now I'm listening to David Gray. I'm a sucker for the Brits.
I am already in love with that PB!!!
Oh Boy! Now I have to be on the look out for that peanut butter. I love taking cookie dough and dipping it in peanut butter....apparently someone else thought it was a good idea too!
that stuff is GOOD! i got some over the summer & it was very decadent... almost too sweet at times but still delicious
I also am a treadmill girl :( I wish i could change like you!
xoxo,
Shelley
I can't believe there is peanut butter with cookie dough out there, and I haven't tried it!! Thanks for introducing us to this delicious sounding product.
New music...umm...none. I'm into whatever they play on the radio, as long as they don't replay it a million times!
OMG that looks insaneee chocolate chip cookie dough PB?!?! thats too good to be true! I must find that!
great job on your run, you are right on about not comparing yourself to others, but rather work on your own personal goals...you go girl!! :)
oh my goodness I love P.B Loco - especially their dark choc. duo!!
I need to get on the hunt to find that peanut butter!
I love that pb! i swear i went through the jar in less than two weeks earlier this year! eek!
and great job w/ the run and making it something you enjoy and not a contest. i've been working on that concept for a long time...and with my current training it's def paying off! injury free! (fingers crossed! race isn't for 2.5 weeks!)
wow, that sounds amazing! I've never tried the p.b. loco flavors but always want too. What a great way to spruce up a favorite. I think 5 miles is great. You can compare yourself to me because I can't even run that much :) I'd like to train for a tri soon, but I need to get better at swimming and running. I always try not to compare myself to others which is hard for me, especially starting cycling when everyone is way better and even in the blog world. There will always be someone a bit better than you and you will always be a better than someone else, it's about being okay with that and doing what works for you :)
Thanks for your comment on my blog, I hope I didn't sound offensive, I am very thankful and understand because I also had a rocky relationship with my dad. Hope you have a great day :)
@eatindRD: No, you weren't offensive at all. I hope my comment didn't lead you to think that. I really enjoyed your post actually :)
